I have a question about this:
This generation is looking forward, not back, and compares Cambodia with
other countries in the region rather than its own dark past.
The comparison of a country to its past seems unequal. Shouldn't it be:
...compares Cambodia with other countries...rather than the Cambodia of
its own dark past.
